The Ecocyte oocyte service offers ready to use cells that can be immediately injected with cDNA or cRNA. Hence, we can spend more time working with our favorite receptors. We ordered cells with Ecocyte for many years now and are satisfied with the overall quality of the oocytes.

We have been using Ecocyte as a provider for oocytes for 4-5 years with on average 2000 oocytes a month. We are a relative small user group with 5-7 people using the oocytes. The oocytes provided by Ecocyte is high quality, which we use for both electrophysiology and LC/MS based import assays. We inject the oocytes with cRNA the day they arrive, and they are ready to use 3 days after. Ecocyte provide fast shipment, and can deliver oocytes two times a week. We order in the morning the day before we need the oocytes, and they arrive normally before 12 the following day. If any problems occur with the shipment and the oocytes therefore not arrive on the correct day we get a full refund (twice a year or something).

Oocytes Preparation Days
Our preparation days are Mondays and Wednesdays
US: Order Mondays and Wednesdays by 8AM CST for oocytes to be sent out the same day via FedEx or UPS express early delivery. Estimated delivery between 10:30am-12:30pm on the follow-up day depending on location.
EU & Canada: Order Mondays and Wednesdays by 9AM CET for oocytes to be sent out the same day via DHL, UPS or FEDEX. Estimated delivery by noon on the follow-up day depending on location, maximally 48 hour guarantee for arrival.
Storage: Xenopus oocytes are able to be kept at approx. 5-10°C for improved viability times prior to injections for heterologous expression. For expression, temperatures around 18°C are recommended in most cases but are dependent on your own experimental requirements. Media should generally only be exchanged in ways allowing the oocytes to adapt to changes in ion concentrations, pH values and osmolarities, and exposure to air should be kept to a minimum.
Shipping and Receiving Policies: Oocytes are shipped via Express delivery, expected delivery within maximally 48 hours. Verify condition of the oocytes immediately upon arrival, inform us at the corresponding mail addresses Sales@ecocyte-us.com (US customers) or Order@ecocyte.net (European and Canadian customers) about oocytes damaged by transport. To file a claim for your order with us ensure that you notify us within 24 hours of receiving your oocyte order and attach clear photos of all oocytes, and the shipping container if damage to the exterior box occurred. Once media change has occurred or oocytes are handled in any further manner after unpacking and condition verification, we are no longer liable for the outcome or readings. A handful of additional oocytes are included to circumvent impact of low amounts of oocytes that may be damaged during transport.
US: We cover the cost of the oocytes not shipping unless delay related to weather.
EU: We offer replacement shipments corresponding to the cost of oocytes and shipping in case of delays
>48 hours and extensive damages to the oocytes.
FFO (First Free Orders): A sample of 50 oocytes is offered to new laboratories or institutes. This is only applicable to the laboratory receiving a one-time free order, and cannot be offered to multiple people at the same laboratory or institute requesting this sample individually. We thoroughly check each address to prevent abuse of this offer.
For injection order requests we require a minimum of 24 hours notice to ensure your booking date is available.
If placing orders with customers own FedEx or UPS account numbers claims can only be made by the account holder and we are not liable for shipping charges or damages.
Prepaid policy terms: Prepaid accounts are subject to rules and regulations. All funds must be used in one year terms. Price per oocyte is subject to change based on the amount ordered at one time. Shipping and handling fees are subject to change. Replenishing funds must be paid before more orders can be placed after depleting the prepaid account. Discounts will not be applied to individual invoices if the entirety of the prepaid has not been paid.
Tax exemption certificate or number is required for any and all tax exempt customers.
